[nptl] Re: SCHED_RR issue

I did some additional testing and here are the results:

-> Starting directly on a local console (/dev/tty1) or through a ssh
login does not change the following results (tryed both).

-> With base libc/nptl (from Fedora Core 2):
(*) test run as normal user is Unresolved with ENOPERM error (good)
(*) test run as root with NCPU=2 will PASS. (good)
(*) test run as root with NCPU=128 will timeout. (bad)

-> With newer libc/NPTL (tried 07/26 and 08/23 CVS checkouts):
(*) test run as normal user hangs (then timeouts). I already reported
this issue in Bugzilla but other people were unable to reproduce the
problem... (bad)
(*) test run as root with NCPU=2 will FAIL. (bad)
(*) test run as root with NCPU=128 will timeout (bad).

I will now try with a fresh libc CVS to check whether something changed.
I thought at first that the NPTL release should not influence as the
scheduler is a kernel concern, but it seems I was mistaking.

BTW, the kernel on my test machine is 2.6.8.1 from kernel.org.

I'll repost here the results with a (more) recent NPTL as soon as I get
it.

Best regards,
Sebastien.
