Just tested with a CVS checkout from yesterday, and the results are the
same:
-> as a user, the pthread_create routine hangs.
-> as root, (small NCPU) the LP thread executes and the test reports
FAILED.


The way I use a recent glibc is the following:
I get a jailroot for the new libc: $(MYLIB) (is: /home/cvs )

I configure the new libc with --prefix=$MYLIB/root then make, make
install.

I compile the sched_rr with the following command:
gcc -B/home/cvs/root -B/home/cvs/root/lib -g -Wall -O2 
-Wl,-rpath,/home/cvs/root/lib,-dynamic-linker,/home/cvs/root/lib/ld-linux.so.2 -L/home/cvs/root/lib -lpthread -lrt  sched_rr.c   -o sched_rr

I have been using this method for 5 months now without any problem...

I'm short on ideas for now :/
