Yes. I do not expect any problems so long you that start a number
threads <= NCPU - 1. Because, in that case, there is always one free
CPU to run the [i]cpu_thread[/i].

Solaris 10 OK (with default libpthreads on Solaris 8,
we would have to adapt the program to start SCS
instead of PCS threads).

One question. Do you have installed NPTL by yourselves on SuSE v9.0
( IIRC they started to 'officially' ship NPTL with v9.1 ).
