POSIX

POSIX is a registered trademark from the IEEE. The following assertions are derived from copyrighted material. Original text and copyright information can be found at http://www.opengroup.org.

Here is what POSIX requires for this function:

  1. The function gets the scheduling policy and parameter of the specified thread. The priority value is the one last set with pthread_setschedparam, pthread_setschedprio or pthread_create...
  2. ... even if the priority is temporarily adjusted for priority ceiling or inheritance.
  3. The function does not return EINTR.

Conformance Status

  • Assertion 1 is partially tested in the OPTS. New testcases will be written to test other ways to set the policy and sched param.
  • Assertion 2 is not tested. As Linux/NPTL does not support the priority ceiling features, it won't be tested yet.
  • Assertion 3 is not tested. A new testcase will be written.

Scalability Status

There is no need for a scalability test for this feature.

Stress Status

A stress test will be written to check that the correct value is always returned. (several queries for different threads at the same time).
